Yutaka Yamada is a Los Angeles-based music composer known for his work on the anime television series "Tokyo Ghoul", "VINLAND SAGA" and major Japanese films such as "Death Note:Light Up the New World", "BLEACH" and "KINDGOM". His masterpiece soundtracks for "Tokyo Ghoul" have gained worldwide popularity with related videos totaling over 70 million views on Youtube.

In 2018, Yamada composed for "Cry Me a Sad River", a Chinese film which had succeeded with USD $51Mil. In the same year, Eminem sampled Yamada's master piece "Glassy Sky (from "Tokyo Ghoul")" on his song "Good Guy" in his "Kamikaze" album.
In 2019, he started a vocal project under the name "YVY". In the first single of the project, Yamada collaborated with vocalist ra'z, Hayes for "Thought I Knew (ft.ra'z, Hayes)", featuring the opening theme song for anime "Stand My Heroes". He has also worked alongside Sony Pictures for their mega-hit live-action film "KINGDOM". WIT Studio, famous for producing "Attack on Titan", released their most anticipated animation series "VINLAND SAGA", with an original soundtrack composed entirely by Yamada.

Born in 1989, Yamada graduated from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music where he passionately studied musical composition. In 2009, he entered and won the first prize at VIENNA INSTRUMENTS Strings Arrangement Contest.

Today, he is represented by Soundtrack Music Associates, and has since relocated his production base from Tokyo to Sonic Fuel Studios in Los Angeles.
